At the end of the Battle City season of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime, when Jonouchi and Mai say goodbye before Mai drives away in her car, I always thought that they should kiss. When Mai told Joey, "You don't have to say anything," I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for them to kiss... and they didn't! Needless to say, I was let down, so I drew this picture.

I know that Joey's hand on Mai's head doesn't look quite right... I added it last minute. Besides that, I am satisfied with the result.

Oh ra, how I WISH that would've happened. Or 4kids at least dub the dialog properly. "got to know you". ::rolls eyes:: Of course, if this HAD happened, we wouldn't have had all the fun polarshippy stuff in season 4. (but then we'd also have a canon pairing that I could wave in people's faces when they said "puppyshipping")

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad that you enjoyed my pic! Yeah it would be nice if they were a canon pairing. I like Kaiba and Jonouchi as characters, but I do find puppyshipping a little disturbing.
