Hey fellow deviants! Do any of you remember The One? In 2000, right before Majoras Mask came out, there was this website that basically posed the question, what if the Moon was actually going to fall here on Earth? I think there was a commercial on TV about it too, with real people. Anyway, the website interviewed some random people about it, and was basically searching for the hero, The One who would stop the Moon from falling and save Earth. To find out if you were The One, you could take a DNA Test on the website, which basically worked by you clicking a button and the website would spit out some random number, a percentage, of how much of The Ones DNA you had in your body. You could play this game as many times as you wanted, since there was no sign-in. If anyone did manage to get a 100% DNA match, you would be given a number to call so you could claim your prize.
When I played the game, I got a 70% match on my first try, and a 98% match on my second try. I played a few more times, but I never got better than that. Later, the website showed that two people had won The One status, including some girl with a Triforce tattoo on her ankle. I didnt think that was quite right. I mean, if its supposed to be about a DNA match and all, shouldnt it be about natural birthmarks and things you get from genetics? Also, when I first heard of The One, it made me think of the Backstreet Boys song. Do any of you still remember that song? They were really popular around the time Majoras Mask came out. I recently started listening to my CD of them again because I heard I Want It That Way play on the radio, and memories came flooding back.

I loved you
But you hurt me
I loved you, but you hurt me bad, go
Your words, bury me of what I used to be
I cant erase all those things I've seen
Your heart smothers me and now its hard to breathe
I cant erase all my memories
I'm very flattered that you enjoy my art so much! Really? What views on Zelda do we share? I've never met anyone who thinks about Zelda the same way I do. Awesome!
